It's back to winning ways for the First Team after their disappointing loss to Towcester on Saturday with a 3-2 win against Bletchley Park.

HOW IT HAPPENED

With Dan Nevin out of this one injured, we thought we would have a headache-free evening but unfortunately, this wasn't to be as he still made his way down to 'support' and fuelled on Red Bull (other energy drink brands are available), he was on fine form! This game started off with Bletchley Park looking like the slightly more likely to score in the fist ten minutes of this game while Stewkley took some time to grow into it. After this period, Stewkley looked like the team who would go on and take the lead, which is exactly what they did through Lee Loasby who finished well from Jack Howe's flick on just after the half-hour mark. Both teams then had a couple of chances each to score before half-time but neither side managed to, making it 1-0 going into the break.

Half-Time: 1-0

The second half started extremely well for the home side as within five minutes of the restart, goalkeeper Luke O'Connell pinged a quick ball out to Ewan Reeves, who took the ball under control well, carried it forward to the edge of the box, cut inside of a couple of defenders and found a left-footed finish into the top-right corner - a cracking goal all round! Not long after this, Ewan found himself on the ball again down the right-hand side, this time he whipped in a great cross, which was met by a fantastic glancing header from Jack Howe, nestling in the top corner. From here it seemed like Stewkley would take advantage and score a couple more, a few chances went begging but it was Bletchley Park who struck next with a goal against the run of play, allowing them back into the game. Suddenly, within fifteen minutes from time, the ball struck a Stewkley defender's hand in the box - penalty! The Bletchley Park taker tucked away a good penalty to make the score 3-2 and it was down to Stewkley to manage the game and see home the win, which is exactly what they did.

Full-Time: 3-2

It wasn't the perfect game but the boys got the job done and it's three more points to the league tally.
