HISTORY MADE: STEWKLEY FIRST TEAM COMPLETE HISTORIC QUADRUPLE
The 2025/26 season will forever be remembered as the year Stewkley Football Club First Team made history.
In a campaign that has rewritten the record books, Stewkley completed an unprecedented quadruple, the first ever achieved by a Stewkley side, by winning:
• The Oving Cup
• The North Bucks Premier Division title
• The Premier Division Trophy
• The Interdivisional Challenge Trophy
The final piece of the puzzle came with a dramatic 1-0 victory over Olney FC in the Interdivisional Challenge Trophy final, with Niall Wagner scoring the decisive goal to seal a historic fourth trophy and spark celebrations that will live long in the memory of everyone connected to the club.
The achievement also secured a historic “North Bucks Treble”, winning the League Title, Premier Division Trophy and Interdivisional Challenge Trophy in the same season. This is something that has never been achieved before in North Bucks football history.
Adding even more significance to the campaign, Stewkley also lifted the Oving Cup for a third successive season, while retaining the league title after last year’s long-awaited championship success.
Led by managers Max Budgen and Nick Howard, and captained superbly throughout the season by Sam Budgen, the squad consistently delivered quality, resilience and togetherness across every competition.
Several players produced standout individual seasons, including Tom Carter, who scored an impressive 25 goals in all competitions, while Ben Ratcliffe and Alex Cristofoli provided creativity throughout the campaign with 15 and 14 assists respectively.
From the first game of the season through to the final whistle of the quadruple-winning campaign, the support around the club has been incredible. The players and management would like to thank everyone who has backed the team throughout the year, including supporters, volunteers, families and the wider Stewkley community, whose encouragement home and away has played a huge part in the team’s success.
The club would also like to place on record its sincere thanks to Fine Homes Property for their fantastic support as First Team main sponsor throughout the season. Their backing has been invaluable both on and off the pitch.
Stewkley FC are also proud to have YoungMinds as the club’s charity partner this season. Raising awareness for young people’s mental health has been an important part of the campaign and the club is grateful to support such an important cause.
After ending a 32-year wait for a league title just last season, this team has now gone even further and produced what is undoubtedly the greatest season in Stewkley Football Club history. With aims now to push further up the football pyramid and enter the Spartan South Midlands league.
This group has cemented its legacy at the club and set a benchmark that may never be matched.
An unforgettable season. A historic team.
Up the Stewks!
